If galvanized hardware is part of your structure, make YorkWrap™ isolation tape part of your plan. Our flexible, non-adhesive polymer membrane is engineered to isolate galvanized hardware from pressure treated lumber on decks -- including joist tops and ends, joist hangers and post anchors -- as well as below-grade water diversion and frost damage protection, and isolation between pressure-treated skirt boards and galvanized sheathing on steel-sided buildings.
YorkWrap isolation tape is recommended as part of a moisture protection solution for decks when combined with YorkShield 106 PT copper flashing.
Note: YorkWrap isolation membrane is designed for use in conjunction with flashing. It is not a substitute for flashing and is not warranted as such.
Available in 150' rolls, 3 ½” or 7 ½” wide; can also be supplied in widths up to 72" for water diversion.
- Flexible, 20-ml. thick membrane protects wood and galvanized metals from corrosion and deterioration
- Maintains structural integrity of decks, protecting against excess moisture and deterioration when used at joist hangers and post anchors, as well as joist tops and ends
- Effective isolation on skirt boards of steel-sided buildings
- Use for water diversion and protection of foundations from frost damage
- Will not crack or flake in temperatures as low as -20°
- Advanced polymeric membrane is resistant to acids, alkalis and caustics
